<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make usable a hardware sound source even when a software sound source is included. <P>SOLUTION: Musical performance information is sent out from a sequencer program to an API 27 when output to the hardware sound source 12 or to an API 22 when output to the software sound source 23. Consequently, either sound source can generate a sound. Choices can be made by musical performance parts and both the sound sources can generate sounds at the same time.
