<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixation control method that can shorten a start-up time, reduce a temperature drop of a heating part such as a fixing roller during continuous fixation, increase the number of fixable sheets, and shorten a machine stop time. <P>SOLUTION: The fixation control method for a fixing device having the heating part 42 having a thin fixing roller fixing toner, a main power unit 43, and an auxiliary power unit 44, the heating part 42 having a heat generating body generating heat with electric power supplied from the main power unit 43 and auxiliary power unit 44, is characterized in that the heating part 42 is supplied with the electric power by selectively switching a 1st mode wherein the heating part 42 is connected to the main power unit 43 and an auxiliary power unit 44 and a 2nd mode in which the heating part 42 is connected only to the main power unit 43. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
