PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an advanced information processing technology by realizing update of an instruction buffer equipped with an effective branch instruction look-ahead and subroutine return with a small amount of hardware. SOLUTION: The information processor comprises a CPU 1, a memory 4, a look-ahead means, or the like. A look-ahead address generation part 1101 in the look-ahead means decodes at least one branch address operation instruction and a branch instruction sequence comprising branch instructions to a branch address from a current instruction buffer storing the instruction sequence currently being accessed and performs branched address look-ahead. Moreover, a subroutine return instruction buffer for storing an instruction sequence of a returned destination of the subroutine return instruction is included, and the instruction sequence of the subroutine return instruction is evacuated to a subroutine return instruction buffer.
