METHOD FOR PRODUCING THERMOSETTING RESIN HAVING BENZOXAZINE RING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a thermosetting resin having benzoxazine rings without increasing molecular weight and causing insolubilization during a synthetic reaction, without requiring equipment or a complicated step for adding amines little by little so as to suppress heat generation, without generating trouble during adding of paraformaldehyde which is powder to a reaction system and without requiring a step of reducing the temperature of a solution in which phenols and the amines are dissolved. SOLUTION: The method for producing the thermosetting resin having the benzoxazine rings comprises a step of reacting the phenols with the paraformaldehyde and the amines in an organic solvent. An aprotic solvent (except dioxanes) is used as the organic solvent. The total amount of the phenols, the paraformaldehyde and the amines required for the reaction is collectively added to the organic solvent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
