PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent occurrence of vermiculate soilings caused by the pickup during the welding at intersections of aluminum wires in an aluminum fence which are remarkably black due to subsequent anodic oxide coating treatment to the light-colored tone such as stainless steel tone. SOLUTION: An electrode 3 used for the welding of aluminum wires 11 and 12 is a grooved electrode with grooves 31 formed in a tip thereof. The grooves 31 of the electrode 3 are arranged so as to be vertically intersected to the arrangement of the aluminum wires 11 and 12. The aluminum wires 11 and 12 are held by these upper and lower electrodes 3 to perform the resistance spot welding, followed by the subsequent anodic oxide coating treatment thereafter. The aluminum wires 11 and 12 are received by the grooves 31 of the electrode 3, and the electrode 3 is brought into surface contact with the aluminum wires 11 and 12. Thus, the resistance heat of a contact part is suppressed thereby, and any pickup by the current concentration to cause generation of dirty spots does not occur. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
