PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically perform the centering of an immersion nozzle with a nozzle hole while preventing the immersion nozzle from being erroneously set in direction. SOLUTION: In the immersion nozzle to be joined to a molten metal flowing-out part of a molten metal vessel in a continuous casting apparatus while hanging down its under-head portion between one pair of parallel guide rails 30 disposed at the molten metal flowing-out part, elastic members 25 are arranged at the positions facing the planes opposed to the guide rails 30 of the immersion nozzle 20, and the elastic members 25 are uniformly brought into press contact with respective guide rails at both side of the immersion nozzle, thereby positioning the axial center of the nozzle hole 24 at the central position between the guide rails .
