摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network with high performance wherein a load of transfer processing imposed on a communication node apparatus can be relieved by providing a variable path for bypassing the communication node apparatus in comparison with the case of adopting only a WDM communication apparatus and wherein types and number of required components can be decreased in comparison with the case of employing an OXC apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An optical communication network system for providing many optical paths between a plurality of communication node apparatuses to realize large capacity of communication lines and optical communication interfaces for interconnecting a plurality of the communication node apparatuses by the optical paths are disclosed. Each communication node apparatus is provided with an array guide path diffraction grating and a wavelength converter for outputting a signal light with a desired wavelength, and the optical paths for bypassing the communication node apparatuses depending on a state of the optical paths among communication nodes are set to enhance the transmission efficiency of optical signals between the communication nodes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
