<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To report the situation of utilization of a printer to a client, and to detect necessity of complementing consumables and maintenance with respect to the printer that the client utilizes. <P>SOLUTION: A printer comprises an information notification means for transmitting, to a print information management apparatus, print execution information containing at least information related to the date and time of print execution of executed printing and the number of prints, and the print information management apparatus comprises a storage means for storing classes and data forms of the print execution information and utilization situation report information indicating the situation of utilization of printers corresponding to clients, an information management means for writing, into the storage means, the print execution information received from the printer, a management information generation means for generating the utilization situation report information required for each client based on the print execution information in the storage means by using the data form required for the client, and an output means for outputting the utilization situation report information to an output destination corresponding to each client. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
