<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens barrel holder which facilitates attachment/detachment of a lens barrel to/from the holder, surely holds the lens barrel and furthermore, does not apply an excess load to the lens barrel. <P>SOLUTION: The lens barrel holder has: a first holding member 1; a second holding member 2 which is attached to the first holding member in an openable/closable manner, tightens the periphery of the lens barrel and holds the lens barrel with the first holding member; and a tightening mechanism which acts force for tightening the lens barrel on the second holding member. Then, the tightening mechanism has a tightening member 4 having an engagement surface 2c provided in the second holding member and a abutting surface 4a which is provided in the first holding member, moves straight so as to move back and forth with respect to the engagement surface and can be abutted on the engagement surface.
