<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polymer electrolyte composition which has high oxidation resistance, proton conductivity, strength, and elasticity, and can easily be processed into a thin film. <P>SOLUTION: The polyarylene polymer composition is characterized by comprising a sulfonic group-having polyarylene obtained by hydrolyzing a sulfonate group-having polyarylene obtained by polymerizing a monomer represented by the general formula (A) [X is a halogen atom excluding fluorine atom, OSO<SB>3</SB>CH<SB>3</SB>or OSO<SB>3</SB>CF<SB>3</SB>; A is a divalent electron-attracting group; B is a divalent electron-donating group or a direct bond; (m) is 0 to 10; (n) is 0 to 10; (k) is 1 to 4; Ar is an aromatic group having SO<SB>3</SB>R<SP>b</SP>; R<SP>a</SP>and R<SP>b</SP>are each a 4 to 20C hydrocarbon group], and at least one additive selected from the group consisting of hindered phenolic compounds, hindered amine-based compounds, organic phosphrous compounds and organic sulfur compounds. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
