<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To manage the remaining number of components in each feeder without adding bar codes, or the like for individually identifying a part aggregate. <P>SOLUTION: A feeder ID for identifying each feeder, a component ID for identifying the type of the component supplied by the part aggregate, and the remaining number of the components in the feeder are related one another and are stored in a feeder database. When fitting the feeder to a packaging machine, the feeder ID attached to the feeder to be mounted, the component ID given to the part aggregate, and information on the number of initially received components are read. When the combination of the read feeder ID and the component ID is stored in the database, the remaining number of the components stored in the database is set to be the remaining number of the components in the feeder, whereas the number of the initially received components indicated by information on the number of initially read components is set to be the remaining number of the components in the feeder, when the read combination is not stored in the database. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
