SECURE DEVICE FOR PERFORMING DATA EXCHANGE BETWEEN CARD APPLICATIONS, AND PORTABLE TERMINAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a secure device for an IC card or the like capable of quickly performing data exchange between card applications protected by a fire wall 14, and also to provide a portable terminal mounted with the same.

SOLUTION: This secure device is provided with a data exchange card application 17 for performing data exchange between card applications 15 and 16 separated by the fire wall 14, card application plug-in data 182 and 192 for defining authentication processing of the data exchange card application so as to perform authentication processing between the card applications and the data exchange card application in the same manner as that of authentication processing between the card applications and a dedicated host terminal, and authentication key data 183 and 193 to be used for the authentication processing. The secure device can perform data exchange between the card applications internally or through a portable terminal 30 mounted with the secure device as agency to be able to perform quick processing. The card applications have only to perform the same operation as that of data exchange with a conventional dedicated host terminal.
