PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of extensionally molding a coil end which can minimize damage to an insulating cover of a winding constituting a coil. SOLUTION: In the case that a difference of 1.0kN or over is generated between an extensional force to a coil end 2a and an extensional force to a coil end 2b (S2:YES), extensional molding for the coil end smaller in extensional force is stopped temporarily(S3). On the other hand, the extensional molding for the coil end larger in extensional force is continued (S4). Then, when a point of inflection appears in a curve of the extensional force to the coil end where the extensional molding is stopped temporarily (S5:YES), the extensional molding for the coil end where the extensional molding is stopped temporarily is resumed (S6).
