PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent an external terminal inserted into a connector, a connecting cord and the like from getting in the way of a main body when a grip part is turned by providing a connecting part for connecting the main body part and the grip part with the connector for inserting the external terminal thereinto. SOLUTION: This image pickup device is provided with the main body part 2 provided with an image pickup unit for picking up an image of an object, the grip part 4 that is provided with a recording unit for recording an image picked up by the image pickup unit and attached to one side face of the main body part 2 through a turning hinge mechanism 20 in a turnable way, and the connecting part 13 for connecting the main body part 2 and the grip part 4.
