PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a recording reserving method which records all preferred programs and unpreferred programs except overlapped portions, if the recording times of programs to be reserved overlap, and records programs after restoring the excepted portions when the reservation of the programs having high priorities is changed. SOLUTION: A weekly reserved program table is prepared which describes omitted portions on the front or latter half of each of programs to be reserved and recorded, and describes the conditions of the omission and the program identification names of opponent programs causing the omission. When the reservation of the opponent program changes, the conditions of the omission in the weekly reserved program table are updated, based on the opponent program identification name, and a recording execution table on that day is prepared, based on the updated program table, thereby recording the program, based thereon.
