PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material presenting apparatus having an improved operability for presenting the image of a document, a three-dimensional object, etc. on a screen, etc. after taking the image thereof. SOLUTION: The turn mechanism (60) of the support (1) of an imaging apparatus (20) comprises a first frictional means (71) supported with a body (50) shiftably in the axial direction only, a second frictional means (1C) opposed to the means (71) turnably together with the support, and a means (6) for pressing the first frictional means to the second frictional means. Either first or second frictional means has a radial friction generator (5A) radially formed from the axial center with a specified width (d1), and the other has a spiral friction generator (5B) approximately spirally formed from the axis to the periphery with a specified width (d2) to contact the radial friction generator at a frictional part (X) so as to meet D=a×sinθ+b (a and b are constants) where D is the distance between the frictional part (X) and the axis, andθis the angle which the line extending from the axis to the center (G) of gravity of the support and the imaging apparatus forms with the orthogonal line to a stage.
