PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a private branch exchange and an exchange system with high convenience capable of carrying out call termination and transfer or the like without the need for complicated operations in the case that a plurality of extension telephone sets belonging to a group are installed to a service place where a one to multi relationship is present. SOLUTION: The private branch exchange includes: an extension communication means 11 for interconnecting a line communication means 10 connected to an external line 4 and an extension 5; a state notice means 17 for instructing lighting / turning off of a state notice means 42; a group information storage means 21 for registering a grouped group number; and a call control means 15. The group information storage means 21 can register extension numbers of a group number by classifying the extension numbers into a master extension and slave extensions, the call control means 15 controls the master number and the group number to to perform the same exchange operation, and the state notice means 17 informs all extension telephone sets 3 belonging to the group number about the speech state of the group number and the speech state of the master extension.
