PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication terminal and a communication system capable of detecting a fault at the outside of an imaging range as well as in the inside of the imaging range and confirming the presence / absence of the fault on the basis of surer information. SOLUTION: The communication terminal is provided with a control section 119 that outputs a first control signal CTL 1 to a voice processing section 118 for a prescribed time in an automatic answering mode, compares voice information picked up by a microphone 118b as a pickup means with reference voice information (sound volume parameter) set in advance and stored in a memory 113, outputs a second control signal CTL 2 to an imaging section 115 when discriminating that the picked-up sound is abnormity sound to allow the imaging section to photograph an object located at an opposite position, obtains imaged image data, and allows a communication processing section 111 to transmit the photographed image data, the picked-up voice information to a management center 30 together with time information by a clock section 12 via a communication network 20.
