PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Karaoke playing device with a language-based display function capable of automatically and suitably displaying a message description such as an inter-Karaoke-musical-piece CM for foreigners and a content message relating to a specified Karaoke musical piece without requiring any special operation for foreign users. SOLUTION: When the rate of musical performances of a Karaoke musical piece of a specified country to the previously set number of musical performances exceeds a previously set prescribed value, the Karaoke playing device displays a message description, such as an inter-Karaoke-musical-piece CM and a content message, in the language of the specified country thereafter during a specified Karaoke musical piece performance on condition that the musical performance rate is not less than the prescribed value.
