PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous antifouling coating composition that can significantly alleviate adverse affects for human beings engaged in work and earth environment and can show an excellent antifouling effect over long period of time in comparison with a prior organic solvent type composition because of containing no organic solvent. SOLUTION: This aqueous antifouling coating composition comprises a polybutene emulsion as a constituent of the antifouling coating and produces a coated film capable of showing the superior antifouling effect over long period of time without any adverse effects due to a film-forming temperature of the coating composition upon formation of the antifouling coated film. The coating composition produces the coated film capable of showing the superior antifouling effect over long period of time without any problems after defrosting the frozen coating composition at a cold district, etc., and has superior storage stability. The coating composition can significantly reduce the adverse effects for human beings engaged in work and the earth environment because of containing no organic solvent. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
