PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flame-retardant PVC (vinyl chloride resin) composition and a molded product thereof. SOLUTION: The flame-retardant PVC composition comprises 100 pts.wt. of a vinyl chloride resin, 1-10 pts.wt. of an organotin stabilizer and 0.1-8 pts.wt. of a surface-coated smoke suppressant. Furthermore, the surface-coated smoke suppressant is obtained by coating the surface of a basic compound or a mixture of the basic compound with titanium oxide in (20-1):(80-99) weight ratio of the basic compound to the titanium oxide as a core material with a molybdenum compound. The molded product is composed of the flame-retardant PVC composition containing the surface-coated smoke suppressant and has -0.5 to +0.5 value of the color difference▵a before and after a warm water discoloration test at 60°C for 48 h and≤65 kW/m<SP>2</SP>AHRR (average heat release rate) and≤800 m<SP>2</SP>/g ASEA (average specific extinction area) measured according to ASTM E1354.
