<p>A traction cable actuator has a sun gear (62, 162) with a lever (64, 164), planetary gears (40, 140) engaged with the sun gear (62, 162), and a housing (10, 110). The housing (10, 110) includes a toothed race (16, 116) and a lock spring seat (20, 120). A drive shaft (70, 170) has at least one release tab (80, 180) and engages with the sun gear (62, 162) to turn it. A pulley (30, 130) is disposed within the housing (10, 110) and has planetary gear axles (32, 132) disposed to receive driving force from the planetary gears (40, 140). A lock spring (50, 150) disposed to engage said lock spring seat (20, 120) in the housing (10, 110) engages the lever (64, 164) on the sun gear (62, 162) when the sun gear (62, 162) is turned. The lock spring (50, 150) holds said pulley (30, 130) in a position selected by turning the drive shaft (70, 170). A bearing (202) and groove (204) stop assembly may be included.</p> |
