A main frame (2) that is used for a construction machine provided with a working machine; on side surfaces of which main frame (2) traveling devices (3) are installed, the side surfaces extending in the front/rear direction of the construction machine; and on a front section and/or rear section of which main frame (2) the working machine is installed. The main frame (2) has frame modules (21, 22, 23, 24) that are arranged in the front/rear direction of the construction machine and whose end faces are joined. Of the frame modules (21, 22, 23, 24), frame modules (22, 24) that are load taking portions are constructed as a united part of a casting.
