An upper housing (101) has base and upper housing which are movably coupled to each other to enable mouse to be placed in collapsed and raised positions. A release button actuate and facilitate raising of mouse from the collapsed position to raised position. A control button inputs commands to a computer while pointing device is in raised position. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) mouse; and (2) method of inputting command to host device.
