<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform sure erasing without causing cross-erase even if temperature is varied and a kind of a recording medium is changed. <P>SOLUTION: In an optical disk recording and reproducing apparatus performing recording and erasing of data, the apparatus is provided with a laser drive part 8 in which output pattern is generated for each set a plurality of output values, a semiconductor laser 7 emits a multi-pulse based on the plurality of output values and the output pattern in accordance with temperature near the recording medium measured by a temperature sensor 11 or the kind of the recording medium 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
