<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce generation of ink mist by setting an ink application area to a necessary minimum area at the time of performing border-free printing. <P>SOLUTION: When a coloring agent is applied to a first area 400 on a printing medium and second areas 401 and 403 overrunning from edges of the printing medium to print an image, as the overflow amount of the second areas 401 and 403, one of at least two overflow amounts changed stepwise by different quantities is set. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
