<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hydrogen generator having an efficient system which prevents the deterioration of a catalyst by inhibiting the rise of the temperatures of a CO-conversion part and a CO-removing part during operation stop, lowers the temperature of a reforming part in a short time, and improves the operation response. <P>SOLUTION: A reforming part 1, a CO-conversion part 6, a CO-removing part 7 and a fuel cell 8 are successively connected, and a transporting means 13 is provided on the way of a by-path pipe 12 connecting the fuel cell 8 and the reforming part 1. Thereby, the temperature of the reforming part 1 can be lowered in a short time, and the system demonstrates an excellent operation response and becomes efficient because purge during operation stop is performed by allowing the low-temperature offgas of the fuel cell 8 to flow through the by-path pipe 12 so as to be circulated in the reforming part 1 by the transporting means 13. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
