<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet-like light guide which contains particles that make light scattered in a sheet-like optical medium and makes signal light incident from one end surface propagate to the other end surface side, while making it scattered by particles, enhancing the intensity distribution of projection light made more uniform. <P>SOLUTION: The sheet like light guide 95, which contains particles scattering light in a sheet-like optical medium and propagates signal light incident, starting from one end surface to the other end surface side, while scattering it by particles has a high-refractive-index section 95a and a low-refractive-index section 95b, formed by using a plurality of optical media mutually differing in the refractive indices. Then the interface between the high-refractive-index section 95a and low-refractive-index section 95b is curved to impart lens effect on signal light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
