PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technology for securing high reliability to a software error. SOLUTION: An error correction code creation circuit (10) for creating an error correction code about an entry data written in a CAM part(10), and an error detection and correction circuit (11) for detecting and correcting the error based on the above error correction code concerning the data read from the above CAM part are included, and concerning the data read from the above CAM part, the error detection and correction circuit performs detection and correction of the error based on the above error correction code. This error detection and error correction do not affect the performance of the CAM part. Then, in the case that the data does not agree with a comparison data due to the error, the period from error occurrence up to error detection is set to a time-out period or less of a repeat request such as TCP/IP, and thereby a network failure can be avoided.
