PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce time required for deleting a plurality of files by improving a series of operations such as updating of cache data and writing to a storage medium. SOLUTION: It is determined whether a plurality of files to be deleted are selected (1001). When a plurality of files to be deleted are selected, the cache data of file management information in a cache memory are updated for each file of the plurality of files to be deleted (1002), and the updated cache data are collectively written to a memory card to delete the plurality of files to be deleted (1004).
