PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a coating for glass coating, which simply forms a coating film causing no pinhole, being a film thinner than a laminated material, having excellent strength, solvent resistance, impact resistance, processability, abrasion resistance, etc., in a short time by coating a glass plate or a glass container, to provide a method for producing the same and to obtain a glass coating coated with the coating. SOLUTION: The coating for glass coating comprises thermoplastic resin particles that are obtained by cooling a thermoplastic resin solution and have≤1,000 nm average primary particle diameter. The method for producing the coating for glass coating comprises (a) a process for dissolving a thermoplastic resin in an organic solvent to give a solution, (b) a process for cooling the solution to obtain a suspension of the thermoplastic resin particles having≤1,000 average primary particle diameter, (c) a process for separating the particles from the suspension and (d) a process for dispersing the separated particles into a solvent.
