PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new oxidation base having a more excellent toxicological profile than those of conventional products, and capable of giving excellent characteristics regarding to the strength of colors, diversity of colors, uniformity of colors and resistance against outside factors to the hair. SOLUTION: This compound expressed by the formula [wherein, R is a 1-2C alkyl or a 1-2C alkoxy; (m)s are the same or different and are each an integer of 0-4 integer; (n) is an integer of 1-3; and it is presupposed when (n) is 1, (m) is not 0] and its adduct salts are provided.
