PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveyor belt capable of saving the electric power. SOLUTION: The conveyor belt is structured so that an outer surface rubber layer 3 to admit contacting of an object transported is provided on a reinforcement layer 2 where reinforcing cords f extending in the belt longitudinal direction are embedded in a rubber layer 2a at certain intervals in the belt width direction, wherein the condition 0.05≤tanδ≤0.2 should be met, where tanδis the rubber loss tangent of at least either of the reinforcement layer 2 and the outer surface rubber layer 3, and also 1 MPa≤M<SB>50</SB>≤2 MPa, where M<SB>50</SB>is the modulus at an elongation of 50%.
