PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extremely simply structured and low-cost reduced water generator which can quickly, surely and efficiently generate reduced water of low oxidation-reduction potential by directly using a commercial alternating-current power source. SOLUTION: A first electrode 4 and a second electrode 5 are arranged in an electrolytic cell 9, and a third electrode 7 is interposed between the first electrode 4 and the second electrode 5. The first and second electrodes 4, 5 are connected to one alternating-current power source line 2a, connected with the alternating-current power source 1, through branch lines 6a, 6b respectively, and, on the other hand, the third electrode 7 is connected to the other alternating-current power source line 2b through a diode 8 so as to convert alternating current to direct current. The alternating current is applied to the first and second electrodes 4, 5 through the alternating-current power source 1, and the direct current is applied to the third electrode 7 through the diode 8. Water 10 in the electrolytic cell 9 is electrolyzed to generate the reduced water of low oxidation-reduction potential. The reduce water generator is basically structured in the above way.
