<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an occupant protective device for a vehicle contributing to complete occupant protection in a vehicle accident. <P>SOLUTION: This occupant protective device 100 installed in the vehicle is constituted to be able to reversibly develop and expand an air bag 101 in an approaching direction to an occupant C and in a separating direction from the occupant C, to prepare for an accident possible to cause by previously developing and expanding the air bag 101 at a position close to the occupant when collision of the vehicle is predicted by a laser sensor 120 and to prepare for following collision prediction by resetting the air bag at a storing position when the collision does not actually occur after the collision of the vehicle is predicted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
