METHOD FOR DIAGNOSING RISK OF BONE ABSORPTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for diagnosing a genetic risk of bone absorption after an implant treatment.

SOLUTION: This method for diagnosing the genetic risk of the bone absorption after the implant treatment is performed by a method including the following processes: (i) a process of analyzing a polymorph at the base number 9215 position of a bone formation factor 4 gene in a nucleic acid sample; (ii) a process of determining the type of gene of the nucleic acid sample regarding to the polymorph of the bone formation factor 4 gene from the polymorph information obtained in the previous process; and (iii) a process of judging the genetic risk of bone absorption from the determined gene type.
