PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically re-connect a call to an opposite party of an outside line if the outside line call is disconnected owing to failure of a holding operation because a user forgets to transfer the outside line call during communication to another key telephone set. SOLUTION: The key main telephone device 10 housing calls of one or more outside lines and a plurality of extension lines is provided with: a reservation information storage means F45 for making a reservation to re-connect the call to the opposite party of the outside line call from a second key telephone set, when a first telephone set is busy for an outside line call, and the first key telephone set finishes the call; a call control means F46 for calling the second key telephone set for a predetermined time when the first key telephone set finishes the call; a calling time monitoring means F47 for stopping calling if the key telephone set dose not respond despite calling for a predetermined time; and a transmission control means F48 for automatically making a transmission to the opposite party of the outside line call if the key telephone set responds within the predetermined time.
