PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a container for transporting a tank capable of normally safely transporting the tank, the tank filled with a highly purified chemical liquidized at an ambient temperature and regarded as a dangerous substance according to the Fire Services Act, while keeping the content from being solidified during many hours transportation in winter or to a cold destination in seasons other than winter, and to provide a transporting method using the container. SOLUTION: The container 1 for transporting the tank has a tank housing portion 2 which transports the tank 5 filled with the highly purified chemical liquidized at an ambient temperature and houses the tank 5, a thermal storage material housing portion 3 which houses the thermal storage material 6 to keep a warmth of the content 20 of the tank 5, and a warmth keeping member 4 arranged around the tank housing portion 2 and the thermal storage material housing portion 3 to keep a warmth of the tank 5.
