PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrict the generation of noise and deterioration of steering feeling over a long time, in regard to an electric power steering device. SOLUTION: An output shaft of an electric motor and a worm shaft of a reduction gear are connected to each other by a power transmitting joint. The power transmitting joint includes a first and a second engaging members and an elastic member 43 interposed between them. The elastic member 43 includes an annular main body part 44 and a plurality of engaging arms 45 radially extended from the main body part 44. Each of the engaging arms 45 has a power transmitting surface 46 opposite to the circumferential direction X. The power transmitting surface 46 is expanded in an axial central part thereof to form a projecting angular top part 47. The top part 47 is formed with a recessed part 48 when the power transmitting surface 46 is not constrained. When the power transmitting surface 46 is not constrained, the top part 47 thereof is divided into a pair of parts 47a and 47b in both sides of the recessed part 48. When the power transmitting surface 46 is pushed by the first and the second engaging members, thickness of the pair of parts 47a and 47b is released to the recessed part 48.
