The trailer has a bottom surface with an opening (10), and a sliding bottom (7) arranged in a displaceable manner relative to the surface. A pick-up device (11) is attached underneath the surface in an area of the opening in a swiveling manner. The device in its lowered position takes-in and forwards the harvested product lying on ground into the trailer through the opening. A front wall (8) of the bottom slides over the surface. An independent claim is also included for a method of loading and unloading a loading trailer.
