Method for redundant data storage in a computer network, wherein the consistent data is stored in at least two computers. An application program provided to maintain the data consistency has consistent addresses for the at least two computers (R1, R2). The application program forms part of a virtual sub-network (SN 25) of a computer network (N). The two or more computers of the sub-network are independent of each other and implement routing functions with which access to the application program is obtained.
