<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide: an electrode in which stable charge and discharge characteristics are exerted without lowering a discharge capacity and discharge voltage even after repeated charges and discharges; a composition for electrode forming which is useful as a manufacturing raw material of this electrode; a manufacturing method of the electrode using this composition; and a secondary battery in which the obtained electrode is made as the positive electrode. <P>SOLUTION: There are provided: the electrode in which a polypyrrole derivative having polysulfide bond expressed by the formula (I) is made as an active material in a molecule, and a conductive material is contained; the composition for the electrode forming; and the manufacturing method of the electrode having a process of casting or coating this composition for the electrode on a support body or on a layer containing the conductive material formed on the support body. The secondary battery in which the electrode described above is made as the positive electrode is also provided.
