<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device of simple structure capable of preventing scattering of a decorative member and gas leakage when an air bag is expanded. <P>SOLUTION: A central recessed part 52, in which the decorative member of an air bag cover to be opened when the air bag 40 is expanded is installed, is fixed to a fixed connecting member with the air bag 40 by a base plate and a cushion plate freely to be separated from other parts. Two foundation fabric respectively having a hole displaced from each other are provided in a part of the air bag 40, and both the holes are locked with a rib of the air bag by positioning. When the air bag 40 is expanded, the holes pass through the recessed part 52, and after passing, both the foundation fabric close each of the holes to complement each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
