<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To investigate a customer flow while managing a commodity, when a customer brings out an article from a storage means such as a shelf storing the article such as the commodity or a book and performs purchase, borrowing or examining. <P>SOLUTION: This customer flow investigation system 200 is a system installed as a part of a commodity management shelf system. When the customer 281 sequentially puts the commodities 203 in a shopping basket 282 in first to third commodity display places 271-273, time when each commodity 203 vanishes from the shelf and an individual ID thereof are stored.
