PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for selectively measuring the cDNA amplified from a foreign gene of a very small quantity even in the case where other foreign genes are included in large amounts in the same sample.

SOLUTION: This invention provides a method for selectively determining mRNA originating from a very small quantity of foreign gene through the real time PCR technique; a method for measuring the transcriptional function (transcription function) of an arbitrary sequence that is connected to the upstream of the structure gene coding region by using the determination method; and a variety of primers to be used in these techniques.
