PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of eliminating a disadvantage of disabled execution of other image processing functions because of being in the state of setting of setting information related to a particular image processing function. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus is characterized in to discriminate whether or not the setting operation by a setting information setting function is in execution with respect to the setting information referred to for the execution of a function related to an inquiry when the inquiry about propriety of execution start of the function comes from any of a plurality of the image processing functions and to make a reply that the execution start is permitted even when the setting operation is in execution by the setting information setting function with respect to the setting information referred to for execution of a function other than the function related to the inquiry when the setting operation by the setting information setting function is not in execution with respect to the setting information referred to at the execution of the function related to the inquiry.
