PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a temperature compensated crystal oscillator which is easily handled and excellent in productivity. SOLUTION: Packaging legs 12 are attached on the bottom surface of a rectangular container body 2 housing a crystal vibrating element 5 and an IC element 7 in the inside, and writing control terminals 14 each consisting of a metallic post for writing temperature compensation data into the IC element 7 are attached on a region where no packaging leg 12 exists so that the terminal 14 may be spaced from the packaging legs 12.
