PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately and simply perform a temperature adjustment including local cooling to a preform without changing the procedure and operation of blow molding by an existing blow molding facility nor lengthening a blow molding time. SOLUTION: In a preform P which is positioned in a transfer area (a) to be passed until the preform is set in the blow molding mold 8 of a molding device 6 after being discharged from the heating furnace 4 of a preform heating apparatus 2, a local cooling treatment is performed to a part of the cylindrical barrel P1 of the preform P by contacting or releasing a cooling body 11.
