PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To attain ease of battery replacement and prevention of electric conduction at incorrect battery insertion, as well as to easily and surely accomodate unevenness of shapes of batteries at housing of them. SOLUTION: The battery holder for an electronic equipment using a plurality of batteries in series is so structured that it is molded with a material expanding and contracting in up-and-down and right-and-left directions (such as rubber, elastomer, flexible urethane as elastic materials, and expanding and contracting resin such as low-density polyethylene), and ribs integrally molded with it are provided between the batteries to suppress assembly cost. Further, the material of the battery holder has to be an insulating matter. An interval between the ribs is to be narrower than a positive pole of a button-shape cell, and wider than a negative pole, and the rib is to be thin enough not to hinder contact of the cells when they are inserted in a regulated direction.
