PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a sheet which contains glucomannan containing a repellent against insect pests and harmful animals as a main component, and to provide a method for tightly adhering the sheet to a target. SOLUTION: The method for preparing the sheet comprises charging a mixture of sol-gel state devil's tongue adjusted to an insolubility-imperfect pH region with a repellent such as red pepper into a desired mold and then drying the molded mixture. The sheet is not dissolved or collapsed but exhibits a proper sticking force, when wetted with water. When the sheet is adhered to a place liable to be injured by insect pests or harmful animals, a sufficient adhesive force to the target, a sufficiently repellent-holding ability, and a sheet-masking effect are obtained.
